The Nigeria Safety and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has found and destroyed an unlawful crude oil refinery in Adobi settlement, Etche LGA of Rivers State.
NSCDC Spokesperson, Babawale Afolabi, confirmed the event on Saturday in Abuja. He mentioned that the location was uncovered by the NSCDC Commmandant Normal’s Particular Intelligence Squad and that the refinery contained greater than 100,000 barrels of crude oil.
Afolabi revealed that details about the felony exercise was obtained by an informant whose id he wouldn’t disclose.

Afolabi narrated that on attending to the location, they found that the suspects had linked galvanized metallic pipes with giant hoses and had syphoned crude oil for native processing.
The NSCDC Spokesperson affirmed that the Corps would proceed to wage conflict towards crude oil theft in Nigeria and {that a} suspect, Mr Godspower Oyibo, was already in its custody.
