The youth wing of apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has advocated progressive ranching legal guidelines within the South East geo-political zone and different states in Nigeria.
The appearing nationwide youth chief of Ohanaeze, Mazi Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu, made the decision at a press briefing on the current Igbo Youth Leaders and Stakeholders Conference held in Enugu.
He stated the conference recommended the Enugu State authorities for pioneering the enactment of progressive ranching legal guidelines within the state and urged others in Nigeria, particularly within the South East, to emulate the state.
Okpalaezeukwu recommended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Comrade Ayodele Olawande as minister of state for youth growth.
“The conference unanimously handed a vote of confidence on the president-general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Chief Dr Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu and the appearing nationwide youth chief, Mazi. Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu, for the nice works they’re doing for the Igbo nation.
“We salute the braveness of the governors of the South-East in curbing the menace of insecurity within the area, nonetheless, we urge them to inculcate the Igbo youth within the safety construction of their numerous states,” he said.
