A Delta State Excessive Courtroom sitting at Ibusa and presided over by Justice M.O. Omovie has convicted and sentenced two males to loss of life for offences bordering on armed theft, rape and homicide.
The Prosecution led by Mr. E.H. Edema had, by way of its 5 witnesses, led proof to point out that on eighth February 2016, the 2 defendants, Mr Ojerbo Solomon and Mr Ola Babatunde, whereas armed with weapons, cutlasses, and knives, broke into the home of their victims.
In the midst of the armed theft, the defendants raped the victims and thereafter slit their throats. Whereas one of many victims, Mr Reward Sunday, survived the assault, his mom and sister died from the assault.
The 2 defendants escaped after the assault on the sufferer’s bike to Ewohimi in Edo State, from the place they have been later apprehended by the police.
