Fuel Explosion Kills 3, Injures 1 In Lagos

At the very least three individuals have been confirmed lifeless following a fuel cylinder explosion that occurred in Lekki space of Lagos State on Tuesday.

Director/chief govt officer of Lagos State Hearth and Rescue Service (LSFRS), Margaret Adeseye, who confirmed the incident, stated she acquired a misery name at about 15:34 hours that the incident occurred on Lekki-Epe Expressway, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos.

She attributed the explosion to mishandling of fuel cylinder.

“It’s an explosion involving LNG (industrial fuel) cylinder of about 50kg assembled on the frontage of a row of retailers. LNG cylinders of about 50kg exploded.

“Lekki Section II Hearth Station of LSFRS complemented by Well being Setting officers, Navy Officers, FRSC Officers, Ibeju Lekki Loca Authorities. Mishandling of Fuel cylinder resulting in explosion. Three our bodies had been recovered lifeless and one injured,” she stated.
