Passengers have been pressured off a British Airways flight on the island’s airport after a bomb menace, it was confirmed this morning.
A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service stated that the power was later “declared secure”.
He defined: “Shortly earlier than 9.30pm on Sunday, Might 5, 2024, police have been notified by workers on the LF Wade Worldwide Airport of a bomb menace that was acquired by way of e-mail.
“Workers additionally suggested that emergency touchdown protocols had been initiated on the airport.”
Police have been despatched to the Causeway and Kindley Discipline Street, which have been closed to visitors “whereas the airport constructing and its environs have been searched by airport safety”, the spokesman stated.
